L’opera di Yoko Okuyama riflette la visuale di una poesia d’amore - quella medesima norma del credo Buddhista successivamente riflessa dalla filosofia Haiku - che apre al silenzioso racconto, con protagonisti il sukéta, il telaio a trama fitta degli antichi cartai; il washi, foglio ricavato dalla tessitura…
Yoko infonde al sottile ordito del washi il valore di delicati gesti e riflessive pause… Amiamo pensarla artista - vestale, icona illuminata da quel sorriso interiore sulla soglia di un tempio, dove la fiamma cultuale continua ad ardere… Un luogo lontano che entra nel cuore e ne porta memoria, non curandosi del plauso dell’ indifferente che teme di conoscere e si ritrova continuamente assetato di rutilanti novità.
Yoko è l’arpa di una trasformazione dai mille affascinanti segreti – quando il washi viene lasciato macerare dolcemente in acqua e cellulosa, prima di affrontare la perizia del colore: metafora vibrante dell’esplodere vulcanico; dell’irradiante solarità; o del verde di dolci piane ed alture come, ancora, del tesoro riemerso da profondità marine. Dimenticare la fretta convulsa, di fronte alla malìa di quella lanterna magica che trasforma l’ experiri quotidiano in pura astrazione…
Galassie terrene di arabeschi, spirali avvolgenti, simbolismi embrionali aprono a frammenti e a memorie di sé, offrendo allo sguardo lo svolgersi della visione serena, la natura, la stessa emanazione della vita, tra caducità e mutevolezza. Proprio come avviene per l’incedere stagionale, il grande foglio diviene pentagramma e i fili setosi del suo tracciato la melodia alterna di spazi vuoti (il ma, censore del legame tra passato e presente) e piene identità (la semantica dell’opera).
Eppure l’arte di Yoko non esplora unicamente le emozioni scaturite dai mutamenti dell’animo ma vira sul divertissement (familiare, del resto, ai grandi dell’architettura) del cimentarsi in ambiti paralleli d’indagine…Tra questi, l’interior design resta la piattaforma visiva d’eccezione che innesta il lascito armonioso del passato (la tecnica) al trend contemporaneo. Sono creazioni uniche, lampade scultoree, personaggi che parlano dell’incredibile maestria di un Autore che esalta la complessa perfezione di forme categoriali (piramide sfere cilindri) in grado di captare dai metalli la preziosità luminosa e l’innata bellezza, senza Tempo, degli elementi naturali…

Yoko Okuyama, a vestal of the trial.
The artwork of Yoko Okuyama reflects the view of a love poem - the same standard of belief of the Buddhist philosophy further reflected by Haiku - which opens to the silent story, starring the sukéta, the frame tightly woven used by the ancient paper-makers, and the washi , a precious sort of paper made from weaving ... Yoko gives washi a subtle warp, the insightful value of delicate gestures and reflective pause ... We like to imagine her as the Artist - Vestal, an icon illuminated by a connaturated inner smile on the threshold of a temple, where the flame of worship continues to burn ... A distant place that goes into your heart, bringing memory, no matter where praise of 'indifference’ fears to know and finds itself constantly thirsty about any glowing novelty.
Yoko is the harp of a transformation of a thousand fascinating secrets - when the washi is left to macerate gently into the water and cellulose, before tackling the expertise of color: the explosion of a vibrant, volcanic metaphor; as of a brightest sunshine, or the green note released by sweet plains and hills as, again, the treasure emerged from the deep sea. Forget the frantic hurry, before the spell of the magic lantern that transforms the daily experience in pure abstraction ... Earthly galaxies as arabesques, winding spirals, open symbols, embryonic fragments and memories of themselves, providing a wonderful serene view of the unfolding, nature, t.i. the same issue of life, between transience and mutability. Just as with the seasonal pace, the large sheet becomes a pentagram and the silky strands of its plot a melody alternates with spaces (ma, censor of the link between past and present) and full identity (the semantics of the artwork). Yet the art of Yoko not only explores the emotions arising from the changes but the soul turns on divertissement (familiar, moreover, to the great names of architecture) so devoted in areas of parallel investigation ... Among them, the interior design is the exceptional visual platform that embraces the harmonious legacy of the past (the technique) to the contemporary trend. Unique creations are the sculptural lamps, meanful characters speaking about the incredible skills of an Author who emphasizes the complex perfection of forms , seen as categorical (pyramid spheres cylinders) and able to pick up the lightness of precious metals and that innate timeless beauty, no matter the trends, of the natural components ...
